Unveiling the Brazilian Hub

The International Data Spaces Association (IDSA) and the Brazilian Internet of Things Association (ABINC) have joined forces on a mission to enable the future of data economy in Brazil. IDSA member ABINC will act as the facilitator of the IDSA Hub Brazil, an ecosystem of companies cooperating with IDSA in creating data spaces in the country. The IDSA Hub Brazil will be officially launched on March 21st at the ELDORADO Research Institute headquarters in Campinas.

IDSA’s national hubs, already implemented in various countries, support these activities and connect with the local ecosystem, a movement in which Brazil now participates through the partnership between ABINC and IDSA.

Program:

  • Opening: Roberto Soboll, Superintendent of the ELDORADO Research Institute; Paulo Spaccaquerche, President of ABINC; Henrique de Oliveira Miguel, Secretary of Science and Technology for Digital Transformation.
  • Presentation of the data space concept and international best practices: Sebastian Steinbuss, CTO of the International Data Spaces Association (IDSA).
  • Official launch and presentation of the IDSA Hub Brazil: Sebastian Steinbuss, CTO of the International Data Spaces Association (IDSA); Flavio Maeda, Vice-President of ABINC.
  • Current approaches and opportunities for data space initiatives in Brazil: Structural conditions for the development of Data Spaces in Brazil: an expert’s view: Néstor Fabián Ayala, directors of the Organizational Engineering Center (NEO-UFRGS); Data Space Potential for Agribusiness: Bruno Jorge, Technological Diffusion Manager at the Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development (ABDI); Data Space Potential for the Public Sector: Marcos Pinto, General Coordinator of Interoperability at the Digital Government Secretariat.
