GAIA-X targets cloud and data sovereignty, data interoperability and portability. IDS is the standard that makes data sovereignty and data interoperability possible in GAIA-X. What is data sovereignty? Data sovereignty means that the data provider has control over his data: He can enter his data into a data value chain, retaining control; he can decide along the value chain who can do what, how often, and in what context with his data.
