Kick-off event of the IDS China Research Lab
In order to exploit the great potential of the data economy, data from different sources must be combined and analyzed to improve business processes and establish new data-driven business models. This increasingly requires that data should be exchanged, shared and used jointly across company and country boundaries.
The International Data Spaces Association (IDSA) is developing a global standard for data sovereignty and trusted data sharing. This standard can only realize its full potential if it experiences widespread adoption and use in the industry. Against this background, it is of enormous importance that the IDS standard is understood, used and further developed by organizations internationally.
The IDS China Research Lab as a joint initiative
The IDS China Research Lab is being established to have a common place and platform in China for information and knowledge sharing, R&D activities and multilateral implementation projects around the topic of sovereign and secure data sharing. Chinese and European companies, research institutions, universities, and other partners can collaborate in the IDS China Research Lab to advance the goal of standardization and adoption of IDS technologies in China. The goal of the IDS China Research Lab is to develop IDS prototypes, demonstrators and showcases through collaboration on joint projects.
