Update Session | IDS Connector & Certification – In combination, a trusted link to participate in a data space

The IDS Connector is the key to data spaces: A connection to participate in a data space, to share and consume data there, to benefit from data.

The technical scope of the IDS Connector outlined by the IDS Reference Architecture Model includes the connection to trust frameworks and identity management as well as the data usage control and guarantees interoperability. The IDS Connectors serves as master for other connectors of diverse feature sets.

If the connector is additionally IDS-certified, it is the guarantor of trust for the participants in a data space.

To ensure that connectors behave as they should, they must be attested according to certain security standards. On this basis of trust, the participants can begin their actual data sharing.

Giulia Giussani from IDSA will not just present the IDS Connector as other connectors’ root, but also shine a spotlight on others: She’ll introduce the Data Connector Report, some available connectors from it and explain how to place your connector in the report as well. In addition, IDSA’s Sonia Jimenez will present IDS certification, how important and mature the IDS Certification Scheme is and why data spaces can only be trusted if all connectors used are certified.
