IEEE Standards Association | 1st Data Trading System Workshop

The IEEE Standards Association working group on data trading systems aims to establish a system designed to trade data through domain-independent and principled marketplaces operating under a unified architecture. It will define a terminology, a reference model, and the roles and functions of data providers, data users, and data marketplaces – in short: a data trading standard.

On March 25, the IEEE SA working group will be hosting an open workshop, in which data sharing and data trading architectures and their standards will be discussed. The IDS reference architecture and IDSA’s activities as well as W3C data catalogue vocabulary will be the topics of two workshop sessions and thus be crucial elements for the working group’s standardization activities. Both IDSA members and non-members are invited to participate and contribute to the workshop.
