EnDaSpace | Expert-Web-Session

A central feature of the energy transition is the change from centralized structures to a system with a large number of decentralized plants for renewable power generation. The generation from these wind energy and photovoltaic plants is weather-dependent and thus creates a significant need for information and communication in the energy system.

In the EnDaSpace project, the concept of International Data Spaces was used to demonstrate the communication flow between a wind turbine and an electrolyzer for hydrogen production. As a digital service, a schedule was calculated from wind turbine operating data and electricity market information to ensure economical production of green hydrogen.

Via the concept of Data Spaces, previously separate actors can intelligently network, securely exchange and share data to realize new business and optimization models and increase the efficiency of the overall system.
