DSSC Insights Series | How to build data spaces

The Data Spaces Support Centre (DSSC) is an initiative funded by the European Commission as part of the Digital Europe Program. The DSSC, in which IDSA is heavily involved, defines common requirements and establishes best practices and guidelines to accelerate the design and implementation of data spaces based on the main pillars of data sharing ecosystems such as sovereignty, interoperability , and trust. This month’s webinar, as part of the DSSC Insight series, will focus on the tools to build interoperable data spaces.

The webinar will revolve around three main topics:

  • The Data Cooperation Canvas, designed as part of the preparatory actions for the Data Space for Smart and Sustainable Cities and Communities (DS4SSCC) of the European Commission.
  • The IDSA Rulebook, a governance framework aimed at describing which rules are mandatory and which are optional for the development and operation of data spaces, including functional, technical, operational, and legal dimensions.
  • The Gaia-X standards, key instruments to build interoperable data spaces.
