DataBri-X Tool Session 1: Exploring essential tools for acquisition

Discover the cutting-edge tools shaping the landscape of data acquisition in our exclusive webinar, “DataBri-X Tool Session 1: Exploring essential tools for acquisition”. Join us as we delve into the functionalities and applications of five powerful tools developed by some of the project partners: ‘Twit Hoard’ (Athena Research Centre), ‘RWD-E’ (Guardtime), ‘CostNous’ (LSTech) ‘NetNous’ (LSTech) and ‘lstech – Dataset Anonymizer’ (LSTech). This session will not only introduce these innovative tools but also showcase their practical implementation in DataBri-X.

Tools highlights

  • TwitHoard: Elevating the Twitter experience, TwitHoard is a dynamic tweet collection tool that adapts to evolving stories, efficiently gathering and summarizing diverse tweets, performing sentiment analysis, and offering visual navigation.
  • RWD-E (Real-World Data Engine): Enabling auditable privacy-preserving multi-party computation. These technologies provide for secure, traceable data access and sharing, and data reusability, all while respecting legal frameworks and regulations related to security and privacy.
  • CostNous: Enabling reading from diverse file-system and data-type technologies, facilitating aggregation, and supporting time-series forecasting, CostNous transforms data exploration.
  • NetNous: Characterizing time-series evolution against its baseline and offering insights into trends such as up/down, low, medium, high, assertion, and beyond, NetNous provides a comprehensive understanding of data dynamics.
  • lstech – Dataset Anonymizer: Empowering users to obtain datasets with personal data attributes and anonymize them effortlessly, lstech – Dataset Anonymizer ensures privacy by selectively providing specific columns and parameters, offering a secure approach to data handling.

About DataBri-X

Through DataBri-X, European Data Spaces, platforms and  marketplaces, as well as their wide range of business, governmental and public, research and civil society stakeholders will be equipped with a holistic and flexible data governance process and a seamlessly integrated standards-based ToolBox for data and metadata management. Data and metadata management can be assembled along relevant requirements, providing open source and commercial tools (i.e., the bricks/bri-X), and mechanisms to load 3rd party resources, such as language resources or AI models. Such tools and sources can be easily deployed into Data Spaces and thereby, will contribute to making Europe the most successful area in the world in terms of data sharing and data re-use, to gaining the full benefit from the value of data while respecting the legal framework relating to security and privacy.

The project aims to provide a holistic, energy-efficient, and user-friendly ToolBox of practical, robust and scalable bricks/Bri-X (processes, technologies and tools) that improve the interoperability, usability, discoverability, quality, and integrity of data and metadata, with the scope of making data sets ready for expanded digital value creation in the context of European Data Spaces. The DataBri-X ToolBox will be offered in compliance with accountability, fairness, privacy, and confidentiality regulations as well as FAIR (findability, accessibility, interoperability, and reusability) principles, and will build on existing and emerging initiatives.
