The Data Space Accelerator is a government‑supported study coordinated by the International Data Spaces Association. It empirically investigates how small and medium‑sized enterprises (SMEs) can achieve productive participation in industrial data spaces and what conditions are required to reach critical mass and sustainable value creation.

As part of the study design, participating SMEs engage directly in industrial data spaces under real‑world conditions. The study focuses on identifying barriers to participation, validating onboarding and usage approaches, and generating evidence‑based insights for interoperable and scalable data‑sharing ecosystems.
