Insight: “The 3 stages of the IDS certification process”

The certification is of fundamental importance for IDS and one of its core components.

Within the IDS ecosystem, participants and components shall provide sufficiently high degree of security regarding the integrity and confidentiality of the data being processed in the IDS. Therefore, a certification of participants and core components is mandatory. The certification process is divided into three stages.

Have a look at the graphic! The certification is of fundamental importance for IDS and one of its core components. To adequately explain this component, Nadja Menz from Fraunhofer FOKUS, Aleksei Resetko and Jonas Winkel from PwC and Sebastian Steinbuß from IDSA have written a Position Paper, which we have recently published.

The graphic “IDS certification process” is part of the Position Paper “IDS Certification Explained”. For the paper   please click here.
