Tech Talk | IDS Reference Architecture Model – the standard for sovereign data sharing
The International Data Spaces Reference Architecture Model, IDS-RAM for short, is the blueprint for data sharing ecosystems – data spaces in which data sovereignty and trust are guaranteed and common governance rules apply.
What makes the IDS-RAM so important?
- It constitutes the conceptual basis of IDS-compliant data sharing between organizations.
- It specifies rules and mechanisms ensuring data sovereignty within data ecosystems.
- It focuses on concepts such as big data, artificial intelligence, the industrial internet of things (IIoT) and blockchain technology.
- It emphasizes on certification, security, and governance: defines security standards plus roles and responsibilities for the data economy, stipulates control and enforcement rules for data usage, specifies rules and mechanisms for data traceability and identification of data sources.
Sebastian Steinbuss, CTO at IDSA and IDS-RAM mastermind, will go into depth: He will introduce the IDS-RAM, show how data space experts have translated industry requirements into the reference architecture, how the IDS-RAM is built and how it unfolds its great value for building data spaces.
