IoT Week 2021

The IoT Week 2021 will take place virtually from August 30 to September 3, 2021.

The Internet of Things promises to facilitate great leaps in our efforts to transform our places and spaces, from homes and offices to entire cities, into sustainable environments. If IoT technologies build on not only established technology, but also new capabilities in the backend, such as AI, deep semantic interoperability and novel contractual arrangements like blockchains, they will undoubtedly bring fundamental change to all sectors of activity, improving the way we live and work. IoT is likely to be an essential element of the Next Generation Internet, setting the groundwork for systems and devices of the future.

This is why the IoT Week 2021 will bring together industry leaders, lead researchers and public service representatives not only from Europe but from around the world to share their views on how the technology can serve society and identify what are the technological and societal challenges today.

Data spaces are one of the key topics at the IoT Week. In the panel “IoT Market Perspectives on Data Economy” [on August 31 at 3:15 pm], questions will be asked like:

  • Will data spaces create the conditions required for secure sharing of IoT data and emerge new IoT business models?
  • What will impact will data spaces provide for the economy and for innovative services and applications?

Lars Nagel, CEO IDSA, will be in the panel to give answers!
