FUTURE CONGRESS LOGISTICS: HUMANS AND MACHINES AS PARTNERS

Nov 9, 2017 | News

In the Social Networked Industry, humans and machines will work together in networks, sharing information and communicating with each other. But which road must science and business take to ensure humans and machines become a team? More than 550 participants got to the bottom of this question at »Future Congress Logistics – 35th Dortmund Talks« on 12 and 13 September 2017. The Industrial Data Space Association was also there as an exhibitor.

According to the motto of »Social Networked Industry – Men and Machines as Partners of Logistics 4.0« the focus of the two-day event was on the world after the fourth industrial revolution. For the 35th time the logistics industry addressed technologies and business models that will shape the future at this congress organised by Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics IML and EffizienzCluster LogistikRuhr. The event also demonstrated the large innovation potential that can be generated by such a culture – with start-ups presenting their digital logistics and production solutions in a competition for the Digital Logistics Award.
