Global Data Spaces Roundtable & Data Spaces Night @ GDTC | Amplifying the impact of data spaces. Globally.

The Global Data Spaces Roundtable – the 4th of its kind, happening on December 17, 2025, in Beijing – aims to showcase significant progress and innovative achievements in data spaces, including breakthroughs in theoretical frameworks, evolution of technical standards, and promoting adoption and impact on a global scale.

Through case sharing, it will demonstrate the immense value and potential of data spaces in data circulation and utilization, enhancing confidence in the future development of data spaces and accelerating the sustainable development and broader application of data spaces.

The Global Data Spaces Roundtable, hosted by IDSA, co-organized by China Future Internet Engineering Center (CFEIC) in its role as the IDSA China Competence Center, will be held in the Kempinski Hotel Beijing. With the theme of “Amplifying the impact of data spaces. Globally.” the forum will

• bring together all stakeholders in the data spaces ecosystem and IDSA’s global members to exchange their views on the new trends in the development of data spaces,
• showcase advanced applications and practical progress, development consensus, opportunities and challenges,
• share excellent practices in data spaces, thus inspire the global adoption of data spaces technologies.

The Global Data Spaces Roundtable is open to up to 150 people who can not only attend the valuable and insightful presentations, but also take the opportunity to network and exchange ideas and knowledge. The Roundtable is complemented by three more events dedicated to data spaces:

• Data Space Night: The evening of December 17 is dedicated to networking and intimate conversations on how to strengthen relationships within the global data space ecosystem (invitation-only).
• Testing and Certification Seminar on December 18: Deep-dive into IDS certification, evaluation processes, and perspectives from international experts.
• Cross-border Data and Standardization Workshop on December 18: A joint exploration of emerging standards, cross-border data sharing frameworks, and global alignment for the data economy.

The Global Data Spaces Roundtable, the Data Space Night as well as the seminar and the workshop are essential parts of the Global Data Technology Conference, taking place on December 17 and 18 in Beijing. The international event focuses on cutting-edge data technologies and interconnected data infrastructures, including areas like high-speed data networks, privacy computing, and blockchain. It brings together experts, industry leaders, and government officials from around the world to promote innovation, international cooperation, and the development of the global data industry.
