Data Spaces Week 2025
Data Spaces are a groundbreaking approach that enables secure and trustworthy transactions while upholding data sovereignty. This decentralized ecosystem operates within a governance framework that establishes common policies and rules for all participants. The data space concept has a high-level objective: Data spaces drive digital transformation, open up new economic potential, develop added business value and enable innovative processes – all of which would be inconceivable without trustworthy data sharing.
The upcoming event will delve into essential topics such as data models, provenance and traceability, data access and data usage controls, the Dataspace Protocol as well as business and market opportunities.
Christoph Mertens, Head of Adoption at IDSA, will be in Chennai to share his extensive knowledge of data spaces and in particular talk about the business potential that data spaces offer.
Silvia Castellvi, Director of Standardization at IDSA, will speak remotely about how the IDS standard will soon become an ISO norm and give an update on IDSA’s activities to achieve interoperability with data spaces.
This in-person event will take place at the College of Engineering at Anna University, Chennai, India, from April 7 to 11, 2025.
