What is the Data Space User Group?
IDSA offers many activities to the public and to its supporting organizations.
Traditionally, membership in the Association was a necessary condition to participate in the activities reserved for our supporting organizations. Starting in May 2025, a subset of these activities – specifically, the ones tailored for Data Space Users – will become accessible also under a subscription model. We call these activities the “User Group”.
What activities are part of the User group?
As a User Group member, you gain access to a range of activities designed to help you engage with the ecosystem, stay informed, and build your expertise:
Engagement:
- Ground IDSA’s work in your needs – A channel for Users to share their challenges and requirements with the IDSA Working Groups, shaping future IDSA assets and services
- Find collaboration opportunities – Targeted sessions designed to connect you with the ecosystem
- Join the Ecosystem Building Calls – A real-time opportunity to exchange insights with peers and industry experts
- Discover, meet and learn from the community of peers, and from the data space “makers”, offering products and services, across all of the Association’s events
Business Insight:
- The Data Spaces Executive Summary – A newsletter covering the key trends and latest developments and insights
- The Data Spaces Now magazine – Deep-dive into content, featuring expert insights, strategic trends, and key developments shaping the data space landscape

What is the annual fee for the User Group?
1 User per organization €1800
3 Users per organization €4500
5 Users per organization €6000
What do I need to do to join the User Group?
If you are an IDSA member, you can benefit from the User Group activities without the need for you to do anything. If you are not a member already, you are very welcome to become a member, or you can subscribe to User Group.
Be aware, though, that the User Group entitles you to access only the activities for Data Space Users.
What do I miss if I choose the User Group subscription instead of becoming a member?
Only IDSA members can access the activities we dedicate to Data Space Makers, like contributing to our Working Groups to shape the future of data space practices and technology.
Also, only IDSA members are eligible to be elected to the IDSA Board of Directors.
Can I participate in the IDSA Working Groups if I am a subscriber to the User Group?
Subscribers cannot participate in IDSA’s Working Groups. It is a privilege exclusive to the Association’s members. However, IDSA’s CTO has the faculty of invite subscribers to participate, if they show suitable competence and commitment to contribute.
