RESEARCHERS PRESENT CONNECTOR INTERFACES AND APPLICATION SKELETON TO COMPANIES

Jul 25, 2016 | News

The employees at the Industrial Data Space research project presented the Industrial Data Space Association with a specification document for the interfaces of the connector components at the end of June and also provided a so-called application skeleton comprising the structures for the architecture model. The connector is a significant part of the data and service architecture and software architecture for the reference architecture model. It allows for secure and sovereign data exchange between companies. The total of all connectors forms the Industrial Data Space.

The member companies of the Industrial Data Space Association now have the possibility to check the first release of this connector and integrate it into their systems. At the same time, the existing components are being linked up to the use cases which are currently being worked on.
By the way, at the end of the year an initial architecture paper agreed upon within the association will be ready. The paper will then be published at the end of January 2017.

You can find out more about the reference model in the Industrial Data Space Association’s White Paper.
