Webinar Series Autumn 2019

Oct 16, 2019 | News

1. GDPR and IDS – POSTPONED! (Details will follow soon)

GDPR compliance of an organization is only fulfilled by the implementation of both appropriate technical measures and appropriate organizational measures.

By participation of an organization in an IDS based ecosystem, the software which implements the IDS RAM can provide the technical measures.

However, the responsibility and accountability with respect to GDPR compliance is on the part of the organization participating in the IDS ecosystem. This organization has to implement adequate organizational measures for the protection of personal data. This set of measures may be set up based on a risk assessment of personal data and personal data processing and – if the risk level exceeds certain thresholds – a data protection impact assessment. In this Webinar, provided by Benjamin Heitman from Fraunhofer FIT, you will learn more about the relationship of the IDS-RAM and GDPR.

Presenter: Benjamin Heitmann, Fraunhofer FIT

2. DATA ETHICS

The Awareness of critical developments in the digital world is growing, the citizens are losing trust into companies to respect and protect their personal data. The same fears keep the data silos in the companies stable. André Nemat, surgeon and founder of the institute for digital transformation in healthcare, states: “The ethics of the digital require a paradigm shift that returns data sovereignty to those who have it.” In this podcast style webinar André Nemat and Sebastian Steinbuss discuss about the need for data ethics and the consequences.

Presenter: Dr. André Nemat – Founder and Managing Partner of the Institute for Digital Transformation in Healthcare

The webinar will present practical guidelines and solutions to harness the full potential of combining Open Data and IDS in order to initiate a short-term adoption. Already available software artifacts of the IDS Open Data ecosystem will be presented and explained during the webinar.
