IDSA Tech Talk | Evolving data space concepts: upcoming updates to the IDS-RAM & IDSA Rulebook
The IDS Reference Architecture Model (IDS-RAM) and the IDSA Rulebook are the cornerstones of trustworthy and sovereign data spaces. Together, they lay the groundwork for how data spaces are built — and how they can operate fairly, securely, and across organizational boundaries.
The IDSA Tech Talks are making a strong return — this time with a deep dive into these two core assets. The upcoming session on December 4, 2025, will focus on the current developments within the IDS Reference Architecture and the IDSA Rulebook, both of which are currently undergoing significant updates driven by their respective IDSA Working Groups.
In this session, IDSA’s CTO Sebastian Steinbuss will explain the evolving data space concepts, what to expect in the upcoming versions of the IDS-RAM and the IDSA Rulebook, and what these developments mean for anyone interested in building or operating a data space.
This session aims to openly share what is currently being worked on, highlight the implications for future implementations, and give the community a preview of what’s coming next. If you want to understand how data spaces are evolving — and which ideas are shaping the next generation — this is the hour to join: events.teams.microsoft.com/event
