Data Spaces Week 2025 | Data Spaces Discovery Day Tokyo
For the second time, partners of IDSA are organizing a full week dedicated to data spaces in Japan! The Data Society Alliance (DSA), in collaboration with the University of Tokyo, the Asia Open Data Partnership (AODP), IDSA, IEEE, and the International Open Forum on Data Society (IOFDS), are excited to announce the Data Spaces Week 2025 in Tokyo, Japan.
This week-long event, aimed at promoting the advancement of international data space initiatives, will take place from Tuesday, October 14, to Friday, October 17, 2025, at the Makuhari Messe convention center located in Makuhari New City, close to Tokyo
Throughout the week, key data events will complement each other to form a gala: the IEEE SA P3800 Working Group Meet-up, the Asia Open Data Partnership Summit 2025 and the International Open Forum on Data Society as well as the highlight on Friday, October 17: the 3rd Data Spaces Discovery Day Tokyo, building on the success of the first two editions in 2023 and 2024. This combination will feature the collaboration between the AODP, representing the Asian data community, and IDSA, representing the global data space community. Additionally, the IOFDS will bring together Asian organizations outside Japan, offering a unique opportunity for deepening the collaboration between Asia and Europe in the area of data sharing.
