ENDORSE 2025 | Reference Data and AI: Transforming Data into Action across Borders and Languages
The European Data Conference on Reference Data and Semantics – ENDORSE – serves as a platform for sharing knowledge, experience and best practices about the management of interoperable reference data and semantic technologies. Every two years, the event brings together experts, researchers and professionals from national public administrations, international organisations and EU institutions to discuss emerging trends in the fields of semantic interoperability, knowledge management and digital policymaking.
The 3rd edition of ENDORSE will take place in Brussels on 8 and 9 October 2025 on the hot topic of AI: “Reference Data and AI: Transforming Data into Action across Borders and Languages”, This slogan reflects the European commitment to exploring the intersection of reference data and AI. With the entry into force of the EU’s Artificial Intelligence Act on 1 August 2024, the conference is a timely opportunity to discuss the use of AI in the context of reference data and semantic technologies.
The responsible use of AI, which is the aim in Europe, places special demands on the sources from which AI draws its data. Data spaces are indispensable here. They allow the data provider control and self-determination over the data and thus give AI access to previously closed data treasures. IDSA’s Gianfranco Cecconi will be on the ENDORSE stage to discuss the indispensability of data spaces for the successful future of AI.
