DESCRIPTION:The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft presented the concept of a cross-co
 mpany data space in 2015. It enables companies to share their most valuabl
 e assets and use them in a value-added way: data.\n\nThe International Dat
 a Spaces Association (IDSA)\, initiated by the German Ministry of Educatio
 n and Research\, Fraunhofer and industry\, has taken this concept and deve
 loped it into an international de facto standard – the IDS standard for 
 data sovereignty. With this standard\, IDSA has paved the way to a trustwo
 rthy and sovereign data economy.\n\nNow\, the IDS standard is ready for co
 mmercial use.\n\nAt the Data Ecosystems Day on 26 November 2020 the develo
 pers of the Fraunhofer Cluster of Excellence Cognitive Internet Technologi
 es \, the Fraunhofer ICT Group and the International Data Spaces Associa
